Below is an example of an Old English system of measurements and why the metric system is so much easier to use for length measurements.
- 10 inches = 3 hands = 1 foot
- 3 feet = 1 pace
- 2 paces = 1 span
- 1000 spans = 1 mile
- 4 miles = 1 league
