Today we looked at how the Periodic Table works.  We first learned how to read the information from each tile the represents each element.  Here is a video that explains how each tile gives information.  We learned about the columns also known as groups/families because they react in the same manner. We learned that the numbers on the left side of the Periodic Table tell us both the period the element is in as well as the number of Bohr shells that will be needed for a Bohr's model of that particular element. We then used the information from the periodic table to work out a few problems that ask about information about certain elements. Here is a copy of the Bohr's Model worksheet.
