Today we continued with the metric system.  This time we worked with how to convert from 1 unit size to another. We first revisited what is expected for answering the Scientist of the Week section of the weekly log.   Remember if there is a clue given, then it is expected that you will write down a guess.  Scientists make guesses for a living after all.  So, if you have 4 clues given then you need to make 4 guesses.  The guess does not need to be correct in order to gain a point, because many time a hypothesis made by a scientist is often time incorrect.

Here is the format.

Clue - You write this down on the question section of the log.

    1. I was born on December 5, 1901.

Guess  - You write this down on the answer section of the log.

    1. The scientist of the week is Werner Heisenberg.

Today's lesson was to create a metric "Slider"

on a notecard we filled out the information below so that we can use is as a tool to convert from one unit size to another. Please note that a mnemonic device it a tool that we used to remember a list of words or data and the mnemonic device we use to remember the prefixes of all the metric prefixes is "King Henry Died by drinking chocolate milk."
