Today we continued reading from chapter 7 lesson 4 from the textbook. We learned about using chemical formulas and how to use them to express a chemical reaction. We discussed that the law of conservation of mass needs the formulas to be balanced from the left (the reactions side) to the right the products side. Theses two sides are separated by an arrow (----> ) which means a chemical reaction has occurred.
