Today we started chapter 5 lesson 2 from the textbook. We read from pp. 168-171. We discussed how energy is neither created or destroyed. It is only changed from one form to another. This is called the law of conservation of energy. This is also known and the 1st law of thermodynamics. We then went on to discuss how potential energy + kinetic energy = Total energy. This exchange of energy swings back and forth so when kinetic energy goes up, potential energy goes down and vice versa.
