Today we continued working with the physical properties of matter.   We finished off the Mass v. Weight lab.  We then moved on to density. Here we are learning that how much space matter takes up determines its density. We looked at a set of density cubes and compared them to each other.    The question we asked was how come each cube weighed different than the others, even though they are the same size in volume? We then looked at three formulas for Density Lab which are the following:  

In the Density Lab we will determined the density of 6 different objects each being a different type of material, shape, and size.  We will ill do this by using standard measuring to find the volume for regular objects and water displacement in order to find the volume of an irregular object.
