Today we started reading chapter 10 lesson 3. We set up the notes and defined all of the terms. We are looked at how nonmetals and metalloids are different from metal both physically and chemically. We read from pp. 362-367. We first took a look at the main elements of life. We noticed that 65% of the human body is composed of oxygen and the carbon is the building block of life. We also discussed how nonmetals are insulators which means that they do not conduct energy. This means that nonmetals will not pass heat or electricity. This makes them useful because they can hold electric wire and not cause a short circuit.
